Equitable began offering Medicare Supplement products the same year Medicare was implemented. In 1974, Equitable pioneered the marketing of Long Term Care insurance. In 1985, Equitable offered the first comprehensive home health care policy for seniors - allowing them to recover from illness or injury in their own homes, not in institutions.
